This week was a super exciting week! For starters, we had our 16 week appointment, and A.J. wasn’t able to make it so my niece tagged along. My midwife let her run the heartbeat monitor which she thought was super cool. It’s so fun knowing that this little babe will come into the world with an army of cousins to love! Also, I celebrated my very first Mother’s Day, and it just made me look forward to next year when our sweet little one will be here to celebrate with us!
How Far Along: 16 weeks
Gender: Unknown… BUUUUTTT, we have officially scheduled our 20 week appointment and ultrasound, so the countdown is on! We can’t wait to find out!
Weight Gain: 3 lbs
Maternity Clothes: My pile of jeans that actually fit is dwindling fast, and I have moved into a few pairs of my maternity jeans. Most of my shirts still fit, and I have a couple of flowy dresses that work as well (my dress in the picture isn’t maternity, but I definitely heard a seem pop when I put it on :).
Sleep: Sleep has remained about the same, but there are days that I feel like I could sleep all day long. I’m going to add a nightly yoga routine starting this week, and I hope that helps me relax a little and stretch out some of the sore muscles.
Movement: Nothing yet, but I’m so anxious for that first kick!
Cravings: We had deviled eggs on Mother’s Day, and it was like I died and went to heaven.
Queasy or Sick: Not queasy or sick, and I think the crud from week 9 has finally left for good! I would take that any day over throwing up, though!
Have You Started To Show Yet: My niece told me on Mother’s Day that I “finally look pregnant”. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing in her book :). It still depends on the outfit though.
Gender Prediction: Carter’s had a huge sale this past week, and I may have jumped the gun on my boy prediction :). If we end up with a precious little girl, I am well stocked up on baby gifts for the next little while!
Belly Button In or Out? Still in, and I’m predicting it will stay in.
Looking Forward To: Our 20 week appointment! I feel like I’m wishing the weeks away (not intentionally, I just really enjoy my midwife and checking in on this sweet babe!). Also looking forward to moving on with nursery plans. I was going to be that person that had everything done right away, but now I’m taking my sweet time. Maybe the warmer weather will kick me in the butt to get moving.
