How Far Along: 24 weeks
Gender: It’s a girl! To say we were shocked is an understatement!!! All the old wives tales pointed towards boy, and I just had a “feeling” it was going to be a boy! But we couldn’t be more excited to be adding a beautiful little girl to our family (even though she will probably remain unnamed because we can’t seem to agree on any names!)
Weight Gain: 5 pounds from pre-pregnancy weight. I mentioned last week I had lost 7 pounds, which put me right back at my starting weight. We are back on track now, and picking up where we left off! My midwife said she was comfortable with a total of 25-35 pound weight gain, so we are right in line with that as well!
Maternity Clothes: Yes! The plazzo pants I’m wearing in the picture are at the top of my favorite list! I snatched them on the Maternity Facebook Swap, and I believe they must be last season. They’re from Motherhood Maternity, and I can’t find any from this season :(. They’re seriously like pajama pants though, and super duper comfy!
Sleep: Sleep has improved this week, and I attribute that to my Leech Co. pregnancy pillow. I don’t use it every night, because I tend to be hot when I sleep and the pillow radiates extra heat, but when I can’t get comfortable it’s my saving grace!
Movement: TONS of movement! It never get’s old taking a couple of minutes just to sit still and feel this little girl kick and flip!
Cravings: Nothing specific this week.
Queasy or Sick: Feeling great! I’ve started to notice a little bit of back pain at night, but it’s totally manageable.
Have You Started To Show Yet: Yes! This past week I coordinated our Little Miss and Queen pageant at our county fair, and 2 of the little girls asked if I had a baby in my tummy or if I just had a belly :). The innocence of children!
Gender Prediction: Okay, so we switched to team girl :). But, I did say to A.J. the other day that I was questioning if the ulstrasound reading was right… I am just still in shock that all the other predictions were wrong!
Belly Button In or Out? I think we’ll call it half and half. It’s definitely stretched and very tight!
Looking Forward To: Our 24 week appointment this week!
