11 months. Our pictures have finally reached the stage of, “Come on, mom- wrap this up!” We are busy gearing up for fall, the holidays, and Addison’s 1st birthday party. As sad as I am to see our little girl grow up so fast, I’m choosing to embrace this next season that we are heading in to with joy and excitement for the future!
GROWTH
Compared to last month- we are officially up 13 ounces, so right at 18 lbs 13 oz. Still in size 3 diapers, and honestly, I think we might be potty trained before we move up to another size! I haven’t measured Addison’s height since her 9 month check up, but with her 1st birthday coming up next month, I think I’m going to invest in a growth ruler for the wall. I’d love suggestions from you guys on the best place to find them (and no, I’m not making one!)
EAT
We are still chowing down on milk like it’s our job (thanks to Auntie Paige ;), and I’m having such a hard time comprehending that in less than a month we will be done with bottles altogether! I guess the biggest thing I’m struggling with is the fact that I’ll have to make 3 meals a day (I literally eat whatever is available, so pretty much cereal 85% of the time). Overall, it will be a good change for our entire family and I’m looking forward to experimenting with some new recipes!
CLOTHES
I finally took the time to go through 4 totes of clothes from my sisters (super grateful for nieces and hand-me-downs!). We have our closet stocked for the next year! However, that probably doesn’t mean I will stop buying even more adorable outfits. Most of our clothes are 9-12 months, and a few 12 month outfits fit pretty good as well. We broke out our fall wardrobe, and I need to invest in a winter jacket/snowsuit- just haven’t decided which one I’m going to go with yet!
PLAY & DEVELOPMENT
Just a few stats- Addi has 6 teeth, can stand by herself for extended period of time, will walk holding on to one hand (but prefers 2 hands still), and crawls EVERYWHERE. She LOVES her puppy Charlie, and I quite often find them laying on the living room floor together. Along with all her moving, we’ve had a few head bumps and a minor lip bleed from hitting our mouth on the bathtub. Addison fully understands when she is being disciplined, and AJ and I need to work on not laughing when we discipline because she’s catching on to that as well (seriously though, she makes the cutest, sad face ever!).
