We had a bitter sweet end to our 7th month, and said good-bye to Addison’s great-grandma Norma. Addi was the first great-grandchild on that side of A.J.’s family, and Grandma Norma was so proud of little Addi. We will miss her so much!
GROWTH
Addison weighs 17 lbs 6 oz (according to our scale at home), and I think she is finally leveling out. I’m not sure how tall she is, because she doesn’t sit still long enough for me to measure her. Her cheeks are so so chubby, and her legs have adorable little rolls. I’m trying to remember what she was like as a newborn, and it just seems like so so long ago!
EAT
We keep exploring new “people” food, and Addi loves everything we give her! Ice cream is a favorite (thanks to her dad and grandpa), and she never turns down Mac N Cheese. She loves veggies, fruits, meats, and potatoes! We are still using up our donor milk, and will start supplementing with formula when we run out of that.
CLOTHES
We are in our 6-9 and 9-12 month clothes, and Addi is looking as adorable as ever! I’ve had so much fun with dressing Addi, but summer clothes are so so cute!
PLAY & DEVELOPMENT
We are so so close to crawling! Addi gets up on all fours and rocks until she finally gives in and does a belly flop. She is becoming a pretty good scooter, and I know we are almost to the point of baby proofing and vacuuming everyday to keep ahead of our little mover. Addison loves her toys, talking (“mom” is still her favorite word, and squealing!) Church is a workout and a half, and we are definitely utilizing the nursery these days. She responds to her name, isn’t afraid of strangers, and loves to cuddle. She has also developed a signature “scowl/squint”, and we keep catching it on camera! It’s so cute and we laugh every time!
“FIRSTS”
- First Memorial Day
- First lawn mower ride
- First bath with Charlie (he jumped right in!)
- First time swimming with our cousins (we did technically go swimming in January, but Addi was too little to really enjoy it)
