3 months in to 2 kids and I think we’re finally figuring this gig out! I’ll be the first to admit that month 1 and 2 were a definite learning experience, but month 3 has proven to go a little bit smoother!

GROWTH

Our little Alivia isn’t so little anymore! She’s weighing in at 12 lbs 8 ounces, and is 25 inches long. I think we’ve definitely hit a growth spurt, because we’ve started sleeping 8-9 hours a night . Before this, we were getting consistent 6-7 hour stretches. Now we’re trying to lengthen this out and hit the 12 hour mark!

EAT

Like I said above, I think we’ve hit a growth spurt! Alivia likes to eat around the clock, sometimes nursing every 2 hours. My milk supply has slowed down a little bit, OR, Alivia is just eating a little more. Either way, I’m still putting away about an extra 10 ounces a day in the freezer.

CLOTHES

We’re barely squeezing into 0-3 month clothes and have started breaking in to our 3-6 month stash. We just finished up the last of our size 1 diapers and moved into size 2!

PLAY & DEVELOPMENT

This month has been the biggest leap in development so far- Alivia is such a happy baby and all it takes to make her smile is smiling at her. She loves to lay on her play mat and watch the lights, loves when big sister talks/smothers her, and really loves to be held. We constantly find her chewing on her hands, blowing bubbles, and crossing her arms. She can coo and talk, and is so so close to giggling.
