After months of having our laundry room “done”, I finally got around to putting up our new decor this weekend! I was so nervous about drilling holes in the shiplap, but the room just looks so complete now that everything is hung up on the walls.
I wanted a rustic industrial feel for the laundry room, and decided to go with silver/metal accents. I also wanted to keep it fairly simple to keep the crisp, clean feel throughout the room. So often I find ideas on Pinterest or design shows and think, “Wow, I really like that but it’s so expensive.” I love finding ways to duplicate those ideas, but in an affordable way.
#1. Wooden sign “Begin each day with a grateful heart.” This was gifted to me for Christmas, and I knew it would the the absolute perfect addition to this room!
#2: Hanging jars- The industrial hanging rack was made with a few fittings and a pipe from Menards ($8.09). I had a couple of mason jars laying around so I reused those, and the flowers I found at Hobby Lobby for $3.00 a stem (I only used 2 stems, and just cut them down for the 3 jars). I grabbed some extra wire I had and twisted it around to use as a hanger. So, altogether, I have about $14 invested in the entire thing.
Overall, I’m so happy with this entire project. The cost was on point, and it really just completes the room.
