I quite often find myself scrolling Pinterest and pinning a million cute ideas but never following through with any of them. However, I was bound and determined when I saw this adorable lemonade stand photo shoot to make it happen for Addison’s 9 month pictures!
In true Jenny-fashion, I waited until the night before Addi’s 9 month pictures to start building the lemonade stand. I headed over to my parents house because I knew my dad had a pile of old barn wood. I had an idea of what I wanted it to be, so I cut up a few pieces small enough to fit in the mini van and headed home. However, I don’t have exact measurements, because I’m not an exact measurements kind of person. But, here is a rough idea of what you will need:
- (2) 3 ft 1 X 4
- (2) 2 ft 1 X 10
- (5) 20 in 1 X 4 tongue and groove
- (1) 28 in 1 X 8
- A handful of screws
- Power drill
- Circle saw
- A little bit of white paint
Lemonade Stand Directions
I knew I wanted a rustic look, so I wasn’t concerned with cutting straight either. So I literally just cut the boards on a rough estimate. I laid them out in the garage how I wanted them and started screwing them together! My wood was a little bit brittle, so I used a drill bit to pre-drill some holes. After that, it was just a matter of lining it up and screwing them in place.
I added the “LEMONADE” header for a finishing touch and decided to have it over lap the sides a little, but you could make it even if you prefer a cleaner look. After that, I added a triangle banner with some left over scrapbook paper, twine, and a hot glue gun to trim the front. I also had an old chalk board, small vase with fake flowers, and a lemonade pitcher in the cupboard so I used those to accessorize! I found Addison’s lemon romper on sale for $5 at Bailey’s Blossoms… Make sure you check out their boutique! Super cute and affordable baby clothes.
Lastly, add an adorable baby and this is what you will get!
