This past summer, I had the opportunity to attend a conference in Nashville with a few girlfriends. I have always been a HUGE country music fan, and Nashville has always been on my list to visit, so I was super excited for this opportunity!
The majority of my trip was filled with speakers and meetings, but we had the chance to get out an explore a little bit too, which was awesome! This might sound a little weird, but I didn’t want to see “too much”, just in case A.J. & I had the opportunity to come back and see things together. Anyhow, our first day in Nashville we toured the Country Music Hall of Fame. It was only a short walk from our hotel, and totally worth the visit. We also chose a package that gave us a tour of RCA Studio B. To sit in the very room where Elvis, The Everly Brothers, Dolly Parton, and Waylon Jennings performed was unbelievable. Our tour guide was the best, and knew so much of the history of the studio.
Like I said above, our days were filled with meetings and speakers, but the nightlife in Nashville is incredible! We stayed just a few blocks off of Broadway, and the honky tonks are where it is at!
This trip was about so much more than sight seeing. When we arrived, we were a bunch of girls that mainly corresponded online. And by the time we left to go home, I felt like I had known them for years and gained some of the BEST friends! Nashville is definitely a place I will want to visit again!
P.S. Thank God for Snapchat! I am HORRIBLE about taking pictures on vacation, and it was so nice to be able to steal pictures from the other girls!
