Welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’m not sure how you found me (Facebook, Snapchat, etc), but I wanted to take a chance to introduce myself.
My name is Jenny, and I am married to my husband A.J. We got married at the ripe ole age of 22, and our family is complete (for now) with our Yorkie-poo, Charlie. A.J. runs heavy equipment (mainly excavator), and farms with his dad (cows, corn, soybeans and hauls manure). I am also from a farming family, and my parents raise sheep, corn, soybeans, and a few ducks :). During the day, I like to hang out at our local grain cooperative and talk to the farmers about commodity prices, crops, and just life in general, and they even pay me to do it! Needless to say, I love my “job”, and I love being in the agriculture field.
Our faith has always been a part of us. I can’t hardly explain my life without including it. The best way I can put it is with the words from Big Daddy Weave’s song, “My Story”, “Oh to tell you my story, is to tell of Him”. God has helped me through some dark days, and I wouldn’t be who I am today, and probably wouldn’t be here today without my faith.
I hate working out, and I love cheeseburgers, but God did me a pretty big solid giving me a healthy body, so it’s kind of my job to keep it that way. I do my best, which sometimes is only 1 work out a week, and sometimes it’s 6. Sometimes I have cookies for supper (don’t freak out, it’s not that often), and sometimes I have chicken and broccoli. It’s my own kind of balance.
In my spare time, you can find me trying to shiplap our entire house (much to A.J.’s dismay), or spending time with my family (most of my family lives within 10 minutes, and not more than 1 hour away from me, and I love it!). I am enjoying making our 100+ year old farmhouse our own, and mixing styles of modern, elegant, and rustic.
